Handle with care
The whole plant, tuber included, is highly poisonous, and eating it may be fatal: stomach pain, vomiting, disturbed vision and an irregular or slow pulse are among the signs. Despite the name it is not a true aconite, but treat it with the same respect. Wear gloves to handle it and keep it away from pets and small children.
